Joanna Swallow

Joanna started working with Alta in 2010 as a Client Service Specialist. In that time Joanna has loved the opportunity to get to know all Alta’s wonderful clients and their pets. When not at work Joanna loves reading, hanging out with friends, watching movies, and spending time with her Siamese cat, who is very feisty! Joanna is also known around Alta for making super delicious cupcakes!

Chrissy Dickamore

Chrissy has been working at Alta since 2006. Chrissy is a Client Service Specialist and a Technician, and says the thing she enjoys most about her job is that the clients are like family. She also enjoys making sure every pet that stays with us is comfortable and well taken care of, especially our current clinic cat, Bailey Mae! When Chrissy is not at work she loves to spend time with her 4 boys (including her husband) camping, fishing, cooking, and riding their Harley-Davidson. Chrissy also volunteers her time at her oldest son’s school.

Surgery Technicians

Jean Chumbler

Jean has worked with Alta for 25 years now. In that time Jean has developed into the lead Surgery Technician. Her expertise and knowledge are extremely helpful every day. Jean is also known for taking extra special care of our feline patients by making sure each of them has a toy after surgery to help with their recovery. When not working, Jean and her husband love to spend time at their cabin either fishing or hunting. Jean loves to keep “the kids” on their toes while working with patients.

Brandi-jacobs

Brandi Jacobs

Brandi has been with Alta since 2005 as a Technician. In that time she has developed into a key member of our surgical team. One of Brandi’s favorite parts about being a Technician is working with all the cute kittens and puppies every day! When not at Alta, Brandi enjoys spending time with her family, which not only includes humans, but also her 5 cats (Princess Leia, Captain Kirk, Kizzy, Evick and Chewbacca) as well as her dog (Han Solo). Brandi is also an avid World of Warcraft player. When she isn’t gaming she enjoys crocheting and sewing.

Emily-renner

Emily Renner

Emily started working with Alta in 2010, and she is currently attending Idaho State University with the goal of attending Veterinary School next year. Emily loves working with animals, she has two golden retrievers (Buddy and Sadie), a lab (Casper), a Goffin Cockatoo (Keeley), two cats (Nelly and Callie), and two horses (Boy and Maggie). Emily is also an avid runner, competing in many local events. When not running, she is either studying or playing her Euphonium.

Brianna-shaw

Brianna Shaw

Brianna started working with Alta in 2009. She is also a student at Idaho State University. Brianna helps out in both the front and back of the clinic as a Client Service Specialist and Technician. She says she enjoys interacting with all the animals and making a difference in their lives the most. Brianna spends her spare time with her banana loving Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Hopps) and her eighty pound lap dog, Barley (a Black Lab). Brianna is also an accomplished pianist of 12 years, and she is also learning how to play the organ and guitar. She loves to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, and sitting by the campfire with her family and pets.

Kendra Shepard

Kendra has been working with Alta since 2005. Kendra is a Client Service Specialist and a Technician, and is currently working on becoming a Certified Veterinarian Technician. Kendra loves being able to make a difference in the lives of the pets she helps here at Alta. When not at work Kendra enjoys reading, being with family, bowling, fishing, golfing, and playing World of Warcraft. Kendra has 3 cats at home (all Domestic Short Hairs) as well as two labs (Abbie-pictured) and Sadie.

Sara-spangler

Sara Spangler

Sara started with Alta in 2008 while attending Idaho State University. She is currently finishing up and planning on attending Veterinarian School within the next year. Sara has said she values all the learning experiences from such professional, knowledgeable, and incredible doctors at Alta. She really enjoys getting to know and interacting with clients and patients. Sara is proud to be part of such a fun, cohesive, and hardworking team. And of course, the puppies! When not at work Sara enjoys spending time traveling, going to the theatre, cooking, baking, gardening and watching her 10-year-old Chocolate lab, Ursa, steal stuffed animals. Sara is also very active in volunteering her time at the Pocatello Zoo, the Pocatello Animal Shelter, and the ISU Canine Hydrotherapy Research Team.

Willy-harris

Willy Harris

Willy started working with Alta in 2011, and is very excited to be working in a clinic that focuses on providing great medicine for the patient and superior customer service for the client. Willy and his family love to go camping with their two dogs, Chubbs (a Black Lab) and Boomer (a Walker Hound Mix). When not with their dogs, they love to watch collegiate and professional sporting events. Prior to working at Alta, Willy obtained his undergraduate degree from Idaho State University in Education. Shortly after, he finished his masters program, also at ISU in Athletic Administration. Willy has volunteered his time in the past as the Head Baseball Coach for the Idaho State University Club Baseball Program. Though he isn’t currently coaching, he still volunteers with the team to help in any capacity.
