About Our Hospital
Our hospital is in a new, free-standing building that backs up to a park. Alta currently has 3 staff veterinarians. We are a well-equipped hospital with up-to-date equipment and technology. We have a full in-house laboratory, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, endoscope, ultrasound, surgical laser, and treatment laser. We strive to be innovative and progressive in ensuring we have the best available technology to care for our patients. No weekends. Limited on-call shifts. There is a sign-on bonus of up to $30,000!
About the Area
Pocatello is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise! With a population of about 65,000 nestled in a valley of a mountainous area, “Poky” keeps a small-town feel. Located in the Southeastern area of the state, Pocatello is the home of Idaho State University and is within a 2 1/2 hour driving distance from Salt Lake City, Sun Valley, ID, Jackson Hole, WY, or Yellowstone Nat'lPark. The hospital is only 30 miles from Pebble Creek Ski Area and only a few miles from beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails. Pocatello provides museums, golf courses, a zoo, great outdoor activities, a historic downtown district, and boasts a low cost of living. The area is well represented with churches, social and service organizations, shopping areas, restaurants, etc.
